Like the idea but I think format should be more players something like 7 vs 7 cup style format then you are not just choosing the best players in a specific category it's based on overall games.

but then it would be same as cup thats why i suggested different format..

I'm just saying personally it should be more players then it doesn't come down to the best five players on two teams.

I like daveys idea but not sure about doing a cup style match up as its just a second cup, if this happened it should be a mix between league + cup.

sort of like 2 arc, reg, orig, 1 power and 7 players (7x7=49) that way its like the cup but like league too with no carom.

There's time to play it after the season ends and before preseason friendlies start. So it would have to be a fairly short format.

Not sure this is an improvement, but how about from each team:

1 player for arcade (best of 5)
1 player for regular (best of 5)
1 player for original (best of 5)
1 player for carom (best of 5)
1 player for power (best of 3)
2 players for cup format.

That's 7 players total and mixes the formats. You score a point for each match win, not for each frame.

That sounds like a cracking idea to me seb, then we have the little issue of if players move clans can they still play as they were part of the cup or league winning side?

To answer matty question.

Well in football its actually start of the new season it gets played so my intial idea would be a no that old players that have left can't play just like if they left there club in football. But with Seb saying run it at end of season we might have to use the teamlist from that current season. Unless Seb thinks this could run along side pre season freindlys both teams will always be pretty good at getting games done otherwise they wouldnt have got to be league or cup winner.
If it does run along side preseason freindly then the new teamsheet for the season will be only players u can use.

I'd rather run it separate from preseason friendlies to avoid any confusion. Also, team that would have more games to play during preseason friendlies would be at a disadvantage.

So I guess use the old teamsheets. Although it doesn't have to be that strict. Should be more of a fun thing. If you've added new players to the clan already, you can stick them in too. As long as we don't make it silly and sign destiny for a game, it should be ok like this.

Regarding scheduling: this season will have Christmas and New Years somewhere in the middle of it.
Should we do a week and a half of transfer window (something like 22nd until 2nd) or do we play through one of those two holidays with a standard transfer window?
