I agree if killer is scrapped, a separate league would worth giving a shot. Out of interest, how is it run on pool?


Not actually too sure i dont pay much attention to the politics of it but it wouldnt be hard to find out im sure seb or matt would know anyhow

Personally I would switch killer to one game of 2v2 worth 4 points. 4-0 if a team has both players standing, 3-1 if they have 1 player standing. The remaining 2 points in the fixture would be awarded, 1 to each team, for playing the game before the default time. That would be an added incentive to play. If the game was played at the default time it would still be 2v2, this system of anyone online can play is stupid as some clans can get 6 players on and others can get 2. We ended up on the wrong side of a 5v2 last season and all agreed that that situation was ridiculous. Having all killer games done at the same time every week is a no go, some of us can never be on at that time so it rules killer out completely for us.

I was talking to Seb about this at the end of last season and I would also reduce the fixtures to 1 fixture per set with a 1 week deadline. There are almost no games played in the first week at the moment which renders it rather pointless. It ends up with a mad dash on the final weekend with sometimes 8 or 9 games needing playing. This way, it splits the dash over 2 weekends making it much easier for captains and subs.

But if it's a vote on killer remaining as it is now, then I would go:
Reduce to 10

If killer remains in the league, we would be getting rid of the system that currently allows massively unbalanced teams. If a team has two online at the deadline time, opponents may also only use two players. That way, the greatest possible imbalance would be 2v1.
Possible systems to make it easier to get them played could be looked at, although nothing seems easier than saying Sunday at 9... Remember also that teams are allowed to agree to their own default times for fixtures if they dont like sunday at 9.

I do like the 1 week for games suggestion... that way as well youre only focusing on one team for 1 week and as Adam mentioned, hardly any games (especially by D&C ) are played in the first week!

that be good rule to bring in think we played sharpshooters 4 v 2 how we managed to get 2 points out of it i dont know but the fact that was sprung on us last min aint fair much i think 2 v 2 is enough unless u got say 3 v 3 or 4 v 4 that has to be an agreement on both sides cuz atm at deadlne u can end up like us being 2 v 4

Yes, clans can of course agree to more players.

The point is that currently, "arrangements" aren't binding in killer, because they dont factor into a default decision.
Clans have the option to designate for example Thursday afternoon at 4 as the default time in that fixture. Simply let me know and I'll do my best to be there to check it. That time would then count as the default time for that fixture.

Im open to the 1 week per fixture suggestion. Only negative aspect is that it involves a lot more administrative effort with collecting, putting together, and bringing out the lineups for the fixtures. Can be done though.

Can try the one week fixture in Preseason to see how it goes, and if it's a fail, revert to 2 weeks. As for admin side well, Seb you're doing it all yourself, ask someone to help you dummy...

What's happening with the Clan Individual League.
I'd vote to scrap it completely and just remain with the Players Championship

There will be six matchups per fixture. One mixed game will be cut. Cup games are reduced by one to five matchups per fixture.

1. Should the maximum clan size remain at 12 or be reduced?
Please vote with "remain at 12" or "reduced".

2. Should killer remain a part of the league?
Please vote with "killer" or "no killer".
Votes so far:

Nocturnal Assassins: Remain at 12, killer
Snooker Legends: Reduce teams, no killer
Total Domination: Reduce teams, no killer
Dirty Dozen: Reduce teams, killer
Curse on Demand: Reduce teams, no killer
FS Devils: Reduce teams, killer
D&C: Reduce teams, killer
Anger Management: ???, ???

I will be back in town on Monday. Clans have until then to vote, discuss, change their vote, etc.
If it stays as it is, we would be running 10 players per clan, while cutting one mixed game. If killer remains, it will be with slightly adjusted rules to prevent uneven teams, but using generally the same system.
Will start signups sometime next week to get things going again.

If killer remains ( I hope it does) then I think the changes to be made are pretty simple, if each clan has atleast 6 active players then it should be simple enough to arrange a certain time and date for a killer match to be played, my clans apprehensions about killer are all to do with the difficulty in arranging a killer game, not that it's disliked. It became a burden to arrange a time when atleast 2 players from each clan could be bothered.. If It was set to clan killer matches being for a certain date and time in the fixture arrangement at the start and each clan are to have 2v2 only, and if for some reason a team doesnt then loses via default that seems pretty fair to me .. it's only the same as default scores for people who can't be bothered in any other fixture.. But if people are stating their clan has atleast 6 active members, 2 at the same time shouldn't be a problem, maybe if there was a certain agreed time in the fixtures rather than an agreement between the clans themselves it'd be easier to get it played

would still love to see my suggestion for killer from pool site happen.

1 player from each team plays at the allotted time.
different player each week/fortnight.

to me having more than 1 player from a team in the game is wrong unless it can be guaranteed that team-mates are not placed together.

and tbh I hate killer nearly as much as I hate erigert!! :s

it already is 2v2 currently! Most teams just prefer to play 3v3 because its more fun

Clans will drop to 10 players maximum.
One mixed game will be cut.
Killer will remain in the league under the current format. On deadline day, teams must be equal, except if one team only has one player.
We WILL give one-week fixtures a try during preseason. This means that one set is released every week. Cup fixtures will remain two weeks long for now. The system will be looked at after the preseason friendlies.

Preseason friendlies will cover two fixtures over the span of two weeks as before.

Any further rule changes or suggestions should be discussed here. Should the Player's Championship be brought back in if the Individual League does not return for a second season?

This one week deadline seems pointless in my opinion. I can see a lot of defaults happening if this is implemented on the regular season.

And also reducing clan sizes seems to have a been a bad decision, at least for the moment. It didnt have any impact in anything.
