true but at the same time, why would you feel the need to say it? since 9 times out of 10 you would miss and the opponent knows it so they would say it. even a robot can miss a max just not as often as us mortals

Not sure why you're all saying we're being extreme. All I've argued is that it's unsportsmanlike. That's it. Nobody is calling for them to be banned, booted, or shot. We simply stick them on ignore.

See again you're taking this all too seriously lol. This thread doesn't even have to go on any longer.. Someone got in a rage, made a thread, the solution was handed to them on a plate, they got abused a bit which is fair enough, and that's that. There's nothing more to add.

1. If you do not like chat during the game then use the ignore feature
(Dont play me god help I never shut up )

2. I can see both sides to the debate thou - I'm a golfer you don't get your opponent saying good putt before you have played the shot do you?!? The argument to this type of reply is you can't hear them put 'gg' on here as this is a online snooker game in real sport yes I would be peed off if they did so you can't use this for the debate

3. I will always comment on a good shot with the likes of 'ns wd etc....' But without hiding from this there is always going to be players on the sites that say this to put you off. This is never going to change so if you feel like this is happening in a game then please see number 1 option

It might be a good option to have a turn off chat option all together to help the miserable people of the site (joke )

Can I just add.... if a feature was ever installed to allow someone to 'ignore all'.... then at least have this known to any other players in the game room... so they don't waste time typing and more importantly, understand why a response has not been forthcoming

I would also add that anyone with "ignore all" on should also be unable to type. As someone said somewhere, it should effectively disable the chat window except for staff posts.

i just like 2 b polite and complement pepole on their game . ive neverd tried 2 put pepole by saying ns gg wp etc. i understand the arguement about the ignor but i thought britian is a country of free speach . just enjoy the game and if some pepole (edit: Annoy) u off ignor em.

As much as i like banter, i like it in doses, and on the forums that its appropriate in (the ones near the bottom..)

Now lets get back on topic.

An idea could be to get rid of the chat completely but then numerous problems could occur.. Ignore all could be a function but would have to modified to a way where staff for example would still be able to contact you in the main chat if so needed.

Multiple solutions are always there, just need to pick the right ones.
