Right can i just make a point about why to have billiards and not killer...

Just bear in mind it might not be what everyone want but billiards is popular all around the world. You have to think about, would it attact more users to funkysnooker than killer? I think so.

Is this thread about adding a new game, or changing/deleting an existing game? I would be very sad to see original disappear or be modified in any way.

My opinion is that you can add whatever game you want (I personally don't mind which one), but please don't touch the existing games!

I like the idea of killer, i think it would add some difference which people might enjoy because everybody can miss easy shots including virtuoso's, so i think it sounds good and gets my vote.

on a different note i dont think you should change the orig game, too many people have got to know the tables well for them to be changed now, i think it may be good as a new tourny possibly but not as a full game just yet. call the tourny version a trail run.

Which is fair enough, seeing as there are dedicated original players. Although you have said it yourselves, even in times of good activity, you can be waiting anything up to 15 minutes for someone to join your games sometimes, now that says to me that players are not playing it enough, or not enough people are paying any attention to it what so ever.

This is why I said in my previous comments, that I think we need to consider whether we are able to keep it popular enough to sustain, Whether we can promote the game its self more, internally. (up to nick whether he does externally). I just feel maybe a new look and feel to original could do the game good.

But I fully understand why many will be against this!

i think billliards is the way to go because no one on the internet dont really have a billiards game as it is mainly pool and odd times snooker and i agree that in other countrys it is more popular so i now would prefer billiards

and i dont want original changing and i think itshoulb be set on snooker original when a new member has joined

You could even ditch the arcade snooker and bring in the 15 ball one, but you would keep the stats from the arcade one???

Disagree with that aswell. What about like lyle who has 97 107's or you with 51 107's. On 15 red arcade, that would be beating and all them occurences gone.

Not exactly, cause am sure Lyle or Rage or mike, wouldnt mine cause if this was introduced the 147 would get achieved in say 2-3 hours. Also it would bring more of a challenge, you know your self mate gd players love a challenge

Well, guess its time to throw my spanners into the works!

Billiards - i hugely support this, as you will see from a read back of the forums. It would have to be played on the original snooker table though (anyone who's tried to play billiards on a pool tale will verify that!)

Killer - excellent, but as already mentioned, better suited to pool.

15 ball arcade would be a mess, i'm sorry, but just try a normal arcade break and then imagine 5 more reds to work around.. Any resising is silly, because to get it right, you would end up with the original table, and, guess what, its already there!

Regarding changing the first table seen to original, well, i'm not so sure. I favour original as a game, but you want people to stay with the site and arcade is much easier and quicker to pick up and play, so they are more likely to stick around, unless...

Keep arcade and orig as they are, don't touch them and bring billiads as a 3rd option in!

How long do you lot think it would take to create Billiards?

I think to get it all right about 3 weeks but you all know nick, hes hardly online so about 3 months lol

I suppose a vote then seems the be the best option.

Personally my preferences would be in this order
1) 15 ball arcade
2) Killer or lives
3) Billiards

I think if the 15 ball arcade is doable (and it should be with a slightly larger table size) then it should replace the 10 ball. Im sure most people with records would happily relinquish them to see a 15 ball arcade.
A slight variation (enlargement )on this table should do it.

I like the idea of all 3, but I'd hope not to rule out arcade, as it has been massively popular for a while.

I would hope that having this '15 red arcade' style game, would create a medium between original and arcade, thus approaching a 'easy, medium and hard' system; Which, I feel, could be the stepping stones towards a 'career mode' sort of thing!

Which I also feel could atttract a lot more play.

But... as for now, I would most probably enjoy the 15 red arcade.

Please, don't replace original snooker with anything else! Why should you replace something that's original?
Aren't you people happy enough with arcade?
If you want to change something, change arcade into that 15 reds thing, and we'll have:
1. original snooker <-- this is the real thing
2. arcade snooker (with 15 reds)
3. billiards
