Depends on you point of view of course

Certainly a few shake ups and irrespective of personal allegiances (mines Ferrari - not sure whether I've mentioned that before ) you have to admit that it was an exciting qualifying session.

Looks set for a great race with plenty of overtaking, what with Ferrari and McLaren trying to force their way back to the front - especially Lewis as demonstrated in his GP2 career.

Can't wait to see how it all pans out

Bad enough with the coverage starting at 6AM (The race start around 7?) GMT, but when the clocks are going forward on the same night, there isn't a chance I'll be setting my alarm to watch it, I'll catch up through the day!

Tsk, Tsk, Ferrari - that would never have happened in Ross's day.

Apart from that - looks set for another exciting race again tomorrow

Looked like Button was in control to win even if the race was completed to my untrained eye.

Shows what he can do with a propper car

Got to agree with you there Mike 100%.

Not the best finish to a race and could have been avoided if the race had been on earlier (but that's easy to say with 20/20 hindsight),

Fortunately up to the point of the Red Flag it had been a great race and the last few laps were classic - really stretching the teams strategic capabilities.

Duno about hindsight, but a weather forecast might of been handy

Lol - don't think that quite applies (the race schedule being decided months in advance)

It makes you all think what has happend to make Brawn GP so great, Looking at the constructors championship after yesterdays race with mclaren with 1 point I beleive, and you got ferrari not even on the list yet, this is what is going to make the greatest season for f1! Button is controling his car extremly well and he is having a unberlievable start it is like hes has finally found a car that is perfect for his driving styles!

Also don't you think the redbull had a great race I liked how they used the intermediate tyres whilst everybody else was on wet or dry they were flying untill they had no choice but change tyres

Yes, very good and a pretty good car that I think is going to feature quite prominently this season.

As for Brawn GP - the new diffuser coupled with Button's well renowned smooth driving style has to be a significant factor.

Another thing to ponder on is....

Ferrari during the Brawn years: car brilliant strategy spot on (of course Michael a huge factor); now no Ross Brawn: not such a hot car and highly dubious decisions.

Honda pre-Brawn: poor car, average strategy; now under Ross's control: brilliant car and good strategy (and topping the tables).....

Coincidence?

Do you reckon Brawn will win the constructors championship? And Button for the championship?

He is basically 2-0 up on everyone atm.

There is a heck of a long way to go of course but it has to look promising. Of course the likes of Ferarri and Mclaren aren't going to be sitting back and I'm sure their boffins are developing new diffusers (and other clever gizzmos) as we speak.

It all depends I suppose on whether Brawn can maintain an advantage long enough to get significant sponsorship in order to fund sufficient development in order to keep ahead of the game (I'm sure a few more results like the last two will make that more likely).

Yeah, Hamilton best watch out, his sponsors could well be jumping ship to Button.

Would be good to get 2 different Brittish winners in as many years though, and nobody would of seen it coming.

A major factor that will effect Brawn is Sponsorship as we no they made a few people redundant last week so they must not be making as much as we would like them to, to continue this unbelievable season.

Where I think you will all agre with me Ferrari has no money troble and will go to the end of the world and back to make this Ferrari better becuase it is just not doing nuthing on the track, and I got to agree with you dave I bet Ferrari and Mclaren are both hard at work this very minute to find new ideas for the cars, like they will be looking into a difuser that will work with both the driver and the racing style

All I can say is its not over yet but lets hope this flying start is a significant 1 for Button!

Yeah, of course Ferrari might not have funding problems but they are now in a situation that they haven't been in for a long time - i.e. budget capping. As many of the pundits have said they can no longer 'spend their way out of trouble'. Fingers crossed that they spend their money wisely in order to regain the ground.

This season is definitely the best for many years and I think that the BBC should also get a pat on the back for the excellent coverage (even if it does mean I'm going to have to get a telly fitted in the loo)
