Players at the top are at the top for a reason they've stayed on this game hours on end (lol) to achieve people's opinion of a "top" player. Thats been most players goal since I've been here to be the best, some have achieved it some haven't life moves on.

I'm sure Mike didn't mean to offend you pal.

Keep new spin, or revert back?

And my opinion is that these top players have been up there before so they should stop whingeing and practice, like they did when they first joined, if they want to be up there again.

And given time, people will, like given time i'll be good at original (just a matter of how much time) but at the moment it is similar to old people (yes old people ) that us old members don't like little changes, we cannot deal with it.

Like carol leaving countdown, my Gran rung us up to ask what was happening . People have their rutines, and the old spin has took us out of it. We just need to get re-used to it i think

I'm not saying who is or who isn't a top player. All i'm saying is don't be blinkered with opinions such as new players winning tournaments is a bad thing. Its not, if anything its a sign of the game growing and developing.

Thats my last say on the matter.

As for the spin, I preferred it the way it was before the change but i would be against changing it back. I'm enjoying learning to play the game again and reintroducing the old spin would be a backward step....in my opinion,

Damee, i can't quote you due to you moderators having more posting characters than us. Anywhooo... too the post we're you said the bit in bold is rubbish....

It's not, with the old spin you could get perfect position easily but with this spin it's impossible to control the shots you want (sometimes!), because the table is so small if you hit it hard it goes off on a sick one... if this doesn't get changed ill still say the same in 2010, because lets be honest having that spin on the Arcade table is silly! It involves more luck because you can't control it that much.

I see what you did there

And no matter what spin it is, a bit of luck here and there is always handy

No, its harder to control. Not you can't, just harder. You just have to be more precise than you was before.

Original suits the spin perfectly because the table is big (unlike Arcade!!!)

Original has been made a bit easier by the new spin.

i would like to see the old spin back on the arcade table
i may be still getting halfs but i've missed so many due to the spin being different

i wish it could go back to the way it was

I haven't read the entire thread (it's far too late for that!) but if the main problem is it's difficult to get sufficient spin power on arcade there's another alternative to it being reverted.

It could still be proportional to shot power (as it is now, and as is it is on real tables) but be increased in power. This would better suit the arcade table yet still remain consistent with reality and other games.

any way you can make a rule in speed tournies that at least 1 ball should hit a cushion else is a foul break? is boring wen opponants just tap white into pack-no skill involved whatsoever. actually, change boring to frustrating!
