Like nick said he isn't going to revert back to poorer angles now he has more defined ones, all I'm suggesting is is the layout option not the physics. Best get practicing again james!

Unfortunately it would mean maintaining 2 separate game clients.

In any case, I'm not going to reintroduce a bug to make the angles slightly incorrect because we've learnt that. People will have to unlearn it - and those who adapt quickest have a great chance to win tournaments.

If there's a certain shot that goes a different angle to how real physics work then yes this is a (very serious) bug. The best way is to send a screenshot of the game with the shot cursor position before the shot, and then detail how the shot went wrong. This way I can reproduce the problem. However I am confident the change does not cause any incorrect physics.

Regarding the angle change, people will have to accept it, if they cannot adapt and quit, so be it. Improved accuracy is always a site goal and there is no possible advantage to having the less accurate version aside from the fact we've learnt it.

Love the new layout.......

More realistic, better gameplay.......

For all the guys who have been playin for a while........i read a comment.......if it aint broke dont fix it!!!!!!

it was......meaning ppl with proper eyesight.......and not knowing to aim slightly off (as was another comment) were put at a disadvantage!!!!!

if u r all REAL professionals, and REAL virts, then in a couple of days u will be knockin in ur cents again....

r u saying that if in a pub, there was a snooker table with a roll on it and u get used to it it shouldnt be fixed.......come on guys!!!!!!

Nick,

awesome updates m8 and for those throwing their dummies out of the pram........really understand your frustration and your disadvantages now, because things have been corrected.......but if u r as good as the stats say.......then surely u could still beat us mere mortals!!!!!!!!!!

If not, then maybe u shud stick to pool and let those who wish to see the game being as realistic as possible get on with it!!!!!

again, i re-iterate.....great to see the changes - great to see if u hit a ball right it goes in.....great to see if i hit a cushion the ball goes in the correct angle

I have quite a big problem with snooker only.

I am not seeing the balls rolling after the shot i only see the end result where the balls are positioned.

This is not the case on funkypool.

Also i cant even see my own shots when im playnig them. Aswell as severe lag sometimes when watching shots are missed out completely.

Others dont seem to have a problem but zero_pulse did. This is only since about an hour ago.

The odd thing is i hear the sounds of the balls connecting and can see the results being added up just not the shots

Could you not use 'txt' speak please when posting just looks messy

Also, the thing is people spend so long try to get something and when its changed it put new players at a new advantage becuase they get straight in and don't have to amend to any changes where if you being playing this for a year and suddenly everyhting is missing its just hard to get used to, but I am sure everybody will do eventually

That's happened to me a few times before the update alexo. I just logged out the game window and then back in after a few minutes and it was fine.

Hi, can you detail exactly what happened to you?

I've not deliberately altered any in-game logic, the only change was for the practice table. The other reports where that the colours weren't shown until after being respotted.

The only problem is that the graphic shows that the Yellow is the next ball to be potted instead of the Green (which is actually identified correctly in the text). This is a minor fault which does not effect game play in any way and I assume that this is a fault in the new piece of code to display the graphic possibly due to an uninitialized variable or something (only guessing as this doesn't always occur and it is the first time in a game that a specific colour is explicitly specified and I'm always suspicious of occasional faults that happen on first occurrences in this way)
Just to clarify, when I said 'real problem' it was meant in the context of 'actual bug' rather than 'major fault'.

As to the respotted Green problem, I'm afraid I can't give you any more detail (the usual problem of trying to notice things prior to a fault you are not expecting and it was about 5 in the morning lol). I could knock up a reconstruction of where I believe the Pink was if you want but this would probably be less than useful because if I'm wrong (which is not beyond the bounds of possibility ) you could expend a lot of wasted effort chasing a Red Herring. The best I can suggest is that I am more vigilant in future.

Edit: Typos

Noticed i get a bit of lag during play which i ever had before but i'm not sure it is related.

What do you mean by lag? (I always have to ask this question, people use lag to describe many different things)

Thanks, buddytobud, I didn't know that, I will look into it, and your descriptions of the problem are fine!

Just thought i'd say this little stat that since the update and 'new' angles there has only been 1 cent made across Arcade, Regular and Original.

Is that enough to say that even the slightest change can have an ultimate effect?

Also, just a quick question Nick. Does the white 'roll' or swerve' a little when you play with side? because i had a pot in original, one i should get near enough all the time if i concentrate. (which i was doing as i've not much confidence now) I played the white with top spin and right hand side to play position for a colour. (in this case the black which wasn't on it's spot) I felt happy that i had aimed the sursor and selected the right area on the white to pot the red and get the position i intended but when i did play the shot i didn't even come close, about a ball and a halfs width out.

Just to repeat the question...Does the white 'roll' or swerve' a little when you play with side?

Hope my explanation is understandable.
