The second game took place in stadium Soccer City in Johannesburg where the hosts were facing Mexico. Arsenal's Carlos Vela put the Latin Americans in front with a superb strike in the 26th minute. Pressure was building up for the Africans when Carlos Vela, who was man of the match, hit the post 15 minutes into the second half (Sarahh missing easy blue to center pocket).

But Beni McCarthy's header made it all level in Johannesburg just 9 minutes before the final whistle, after a successful free kick by Everton's Steven Pienaar.
