Although, to score the goal then to track back like he did against the US, then to set up the goal against Germany from WIDE LEFT, his attitude also was perfect. You cannot argue with Gerrard, A. Cole and James, sadly, the others had poor tournaments. Gerrard certainly performed better in the world cup than he had done for us last season, in which he was shocking, disinterested, and a poor captain.

I don't have any bias towards Liverpool players, not that childish. Johnson was crap and Carra out of his depth.

Ashley Cole was Englands best player by far. Shame Cappello is too fickle to listen to the once proud English fans, might have had a chance.

This is what annoys me about the English public, Johnson can defend, clearly. If he couldn't he'd be a right winger. Maybe our "fans" should pay less attention the mistakes the players make, and more so to the things they do right, maybe that way we'd have some belief.

Sating A. Cole, Gerrard and James were are best players, isn't to say they did particularly well, thats more of a statement on the rest of the squad.

A. Cole has always been a *insert any swear word you can think of* so no suprise he was laughing.

Brazil, now they are a team, so strong defensively, Lucio and Juan. 2 HUGE men. Built like tanks and great defensively.

My point is out of all the players Ashley Cole was the best. Probably the only player that did his job consistently, and after the whole Cheryl Cole fiasco it takes a lot to say that!

Yeahhhhh hes a .... arragont little .... but still a quality left back. Get in any international team. Left back is a position lacking quality.

Most teams have a fill in left back this world cup.

If you think about it, really, do we have cover for most positions? I mean World Cup quality covers? Cause I don't think we do, especially compared to teams like Spain and Brazil and Argentina who have quality galore to cover.
