Yeh that's what I said above. Nobody from Newcastle expects to win. We'd all be happy with a point, and that's what we will go to City expecting.

Fifa has rejected the Football Association's requests for the England team to wear poppies on their shirts during Saturday's game against Spain.
The FA had asked for permission to wear poppies to support Remembrance Day.
But Fifa said: "Such initiatives would open the door to similar initiatives from all over the world, jeopardising the neutrality of football."

Ok, everybody in Newcastle BAR __jayy__ believes Newcastle probably won't win, but may get a draw.

I think that may be why they don't want England to wear the poppy.
It wasn't just British soldiers that died afterall.

I hate the fact Sepp Blater has done this, but nowadays, its obvious that this would happen.
Something as simple as poppies, will be churned into a religious view or something of that sort, which then leads to lots of silly rules.
What I find hilarious, is that for years, it has been allowed... when Blatter put a ban on it, we appealed, and the people we appealed to had no clue that this ban had just been introduced and nobody knew what it was, what it meant or why we did it. So I dont see what all the fuss is about.
We invent the game of football, we build the FA, we put them in power and then they say we cant wear poppies ha!
The world will be a better place when the FIFA officials die, especially Blatter and Platini. The most obviously corrupt people in the universe. They are more guilty that Tiger Woods commiting adultry or Michael Jacksons doctor of manslaughter!
Also about the City v Newcastle < I do love the passion but Newcy fans must have too much adrenaline running through them and they've gotten a little carried away.
If City score an early goal, you are pigs to the slaughter and will be given a proper examination in defense.

I disagree. Everyone I've spoken to in Newcastle expects City to be an incredibly hard game, and we know that we'd be doing amazingly well to get a draw from them. Although we're passionate, getting carried away is something that just doesn't happen here.
We won't win against City, unless they have an awful game, or if the ref decides he wants us to win. A draw is more than possible, but again, it will be difficult to get.
If City do score an early goal, then we could be in for some trouble, but I really don't think they'll get past our defence that easily.
I hardly think predicting a 1-1 draw is getting carried away..

I reckon if it was at St James' then Newcastle would win.
City have been lucky of late to win their last two games, Newcastle should always play to win, I reckon they have a decent chance.
If you are going to lose to them might as well lose in a blaze of glory rather than holding on for grim life.
Attack, Attack, Attack Attack Attack!!!

Derry, Newcastle fans are immense, they love football they got passion and you can't say they have got to carried away. The true fans of Newcastle anyways not the ones who leave when you go 4-0 down in an Epic arsenal game (we all know how that ended)
They sing and chant win/loose - rain/snow they are great guys aswell, the pub I go before kick off usually trouble starts there as it's for half Stoke half away etc but when the geordies get down here, they just go into the beer garden signing mad songs like instead of oke koke it's Ameobi lol or take your T-shirts of if you love Newcastle now we got 100+ drunk geordies all topless haha (girls didn't join in :()
They go to a match to watch football, they love the sport and honestly with the best defence in the Country City will find it hard break through just hope you don't do any silly mistakes like slip or anything to give it them on a plate.
I'm going to say City to win but going take about 50/60 minutes until the back of the net is hit, 2 good defenses and it's basicially Aguero/Dzeko with Silva vs Ba/Best with Guitierez it's all about the impact these will have on the defence and if any will scuffle any good oportunities.

Carlos Tevez = What a 'Explicit Word here'
Looks like Nigel Pearson will be the Leicester boss on Friday, compensation taking longer than expected... Pearson got Leicester promoted to the Championship, and then to the playoffs where they lost against Cardiff I think! On Penaltys im sure... ive met Nigel, hes a nice fella and talks well actually, confident guy.
Wigans Antolin Alcaraz has accepted the 3 game ban for spitting at Wolves Richie Stearman. Disgusting and now Alcaraz joins the list of spitters like Frank Rijkard, El Fadge Joof, Paddy Viera and Fab Barthez

Prince William (President of the FA) and floppy head David Cameron are on to FIFA now on the Poppy issue now.
Lets hope the pair are more successful here than the 2018 world cup bid. :\

You never know, they might have taken a leaf out of other countries books and finally learnt how to bribe.

Fifa has agreed that the England team can wear poppies on their black armbands during Saturday's friendly against Spain at Wembley.
The move came after Prince William and Prime Minister David Cameron wrote to Fifa asking that England be allowed to wear shirts embroidered with poppies.

So the mighty, tough FIFA broken down by 2 ponces? What a load of crap they are! If they're going to say no they should stick to it instead of making themselves look like pushovers and idiots.
Have they never heard of "stick to your guns" (no pun intended on the poppy row).
I agree that England should be allowed to have it on the shirts, Spain didn't give 2 hoots, and we'll do what we always do to England...beat them!!!
ESPANA!!!!!

Newcastle United have renamed their Stadium the Sports Direct Arena.....it is temporary but they are looking to find a naming rights buyer much like Manchester City and Etihad.... dear o dear, i really am not a fan of this kinda stuff
If I had 20 Billion pounds I wouldnt dream of buying branding rights to the Sydney Opera House and calling it the Turtle Neck Hut. Leave the stadium names alone!!!!
