My Dream Team United Team
Schmiechel
G Neville. Bruce. Stam. Irwin
Ronaldo. Scholes. Robson. Giggs
Rooney. Cantona

Subs: Vidic. Keane. Beckham Van Nistleroy. Hughes

Awful team, two massive mistakes. They go by the name of Bobby and Bestie.

Schmiechel-------GK
Neville--------------RB
Stam----------------CB
Vidic ---------------CB
Evra ----------------LB
Keane -------------DM
Giggs --------------LM
Best ----------------RM
Charlton -----------AM
Rooney ------------AM
Law -----------------ST

Dennis Law is a must upfront, second place was Ruud Van Nistelrooy who actually has a better goal to game ratio I think. But Law scored 250 odd goals in 400 games. Not bad.

Bestie out on the right, Giggs on the left tearing up the flanks.

Two attacking midfield players in Rooney and Charlton. Both have an eye for goal and good vision.

Roy Keane, who else. With him in the team, you can have two attacking midfielders and wide men without fear of being over powered in defense as Keano is there getting stuck in.

Evra over Irwin, pace and better attacking mentality from Evra.

G.Neville, of course he is the right back. I bet if you ask 95% of Man United fans who the last Right back was for United, they wouldnt be able to tell you.

Vidic and Stam in the back. Stam is solid, and whilst there were loads of candidates for Vidic's place, Vidic is great in the air and has fantastic pace, something the others did not have.

Lets not forget, there are loads of different variations to the best MU XI.

Players that could easily be in the team -

Barthez
Buchan
Irwin
Bruce
Pallister
Berg
Robson
Scholes
Ince
Veron
Cantona
Sheringham
Cole
Yorke
Van Nistelrooy
Solskjaer
Hughes

There the ones I can remember and I'm positive that there are many more.

I would like to point out, I dont have Ronaldo in the team. He is better than every single player I have mentioned but for some reason I cant pick him over any of the other players. He cant replace Law, Charlton or Rooney because they are sitting players in the middle, that create and get the clogs turning. I couldnt put him in for Giggs because his work rate and professionalism is immaculate. So it was a toss up between Ronaldo and Best, so I did the most obvious and fair thing...

Flipped a coin and Best won.

Derry...

Just to talk about our mini wager the other day...

I say we cal it quits as half of what I said was said.

You will know what I mean.

Man Utd best 11? Matter of opinion, I don't really care too much but can sit back and congratulate them on what they have done and what Ferguson has done for them. Can congratulate them on how they bounced back very well from the Munich disaster, they are one of the best ever teams in the world, courage wise, play wise and passion wise.

So that's the most you will get out of me on that subject, Liverpool vs Swansea today in what is going to be a tough month for Liverpool with bot Chelsea and City comng up this month. Come on red men, let's just hope we can win by more than 1 goal and keep a clean sheet!!!

Newcastle vs Everton

Great game, involved everything you want to see from a neutrals point of view, 2 teams going all attacking think about 68 mins in there had been 24/25 attempts between the two teams. Great goal by Ryan Taylor, own goal by Heitinga and a decent goal by rodwell.

Another point is the possible handball when I think it was Gosling/Guthrie handled it in the box, this game has everything gonna be a late goal and possibly a red card in last 15 mins...

Maybe that last bit was a bit hopeful... however Newcastle up to second and well earned too!

We struggled in the last 20 minutes without Cabaye and Tiote, but we kept defending well and got the result we were after!

2nd in the prem lads!

Do you all still hate Ashley up there? Pardew next england manager would not be that bad in my opinion.

Just wait until newcastle lose one game; They could do a Hull!

Thats a stupid question! He will always be hated until he pumps the money into the club like he promised.

Cue Power... I was picking from the players Alex Ferguson has had at his disposal, not Man Utd of all time

Rooney and Cantona up front would of been a DREAM... although, if you played them 2, and then had Mark Hughes or Van Nistleroy ahead of them both.... would be amazing!!!

And players not mentioned, Yorke, Cole and **smirks** Yordi Cruyff

Manchester United have renamed the North Stand the Sir Alex Ferguson Stand in recognition of the Masters 25 years in charge.

Heard something on Facebook that was quite good..

"City fans haven't had this much to look forward to since they were Chelsea fans"

Brilliant

Most manchesters people are city through and through.

Most people were i live support man ure; But none have ever been to games and class there sky cards as season tickets.

Shocking result for Liverpool, has all this going down a bit easy when being clipped or touched come back to bite Suarez on the backside? Possible pen, would need to see it again though. We never turned up second half until the 80th minute and by that time it was a bit too late to make something happen I reckon. Vorm definately MOTM some of the saves he pulled off were class.

We need to step it up, and stop giving teams too little respect, we go out thinking it will be a stroll in the park and then they just come out on top of us, we need to go out thinking every game is a cup final vs the best team in the world. It's what we do vs United, City, Arsenal, Chelsea etc and usually play well.

Suppose m_wood will be happy though, we only drew against a lesser club and Forrest put in another world class performance.

Lost 3-0 to Portsmouth. Now down to 20th with Watford 1 point behind, a better goal difference and playing M'boro in a min. Must be said though Watford are on a good run beating Brighton and P'boro in their last 2 games.

You cant have solskjaer in your team. He has to be sat on the bench to be brought on at 73 minutes when he will inevitably score...

If you look at the statistics for strikers for United, I think Cole and Yorke are 4th and 3rd. Way ahead of the rest. Its only Dennis Law, Nistelrooy that beat them.

Even though its only Dwight Yorke and Andy Cole, they were exceptional at scoring goals.

@ Adam -

Too true! Thats why he isnt in my starting line up! Duuhh

Indeed!

Newcastle... Cant wait for them to play the big boys. They are making Chelsea look worse than we already are!

Petr Cech got a noseful today, ouch. Was so worried, he was slapping the floor with his hands in agony after Cole, Terry and Yakubu all went sliding in to attack/defend the ball. Still with 3 players there, a goalkeeper with previous severe skull fractures goes smashing in.

After 7 minutes of work, he resumed play. What a hero! Nasty split on his nose, think its broken for sure, and you could really see how hard he got hit as his eyes were the size of watermelons.

Great goal by Lampard, similar to the Arsenal goal he scored last week. Low diving header to the corner from a fabulos outside of the boot cross by Ivanovic who impressed me a lot up until the point of nearly scoring an own goal in the last 5 minutes!!

Corner came in, he paniced, didnt no to head or duck out the way, ducked and headered and it hit the bar!! Whew!

Torres missed a sitter right at the end... Which basically ruined my football bet. All of my teams came up on the handicap betting, but I had Chelsea -1. So that sucks.

Sturridge had 1 stonewall penalty in the first half, not given. Might of been another stonewaller, he appealed strongly but they wouldnt show a proper slow mo replay.

Cech double save towards the end of the game, and Chelsea secured the 3 points.

Wasn't very convincing though...

First off well done Fergie 25 years, great stuff.

Second off, Swansea deserved their point on Saturday, came to Anfield looking for the win and could have sneaked it at the end.

Chelsea next I think after England get a spanking from Spain.
