Theres loads of rumours going about to as why FIFA finally decided to allow us them.

But I guess when the Duke of Cambridge (as well as being president of the England football assocation, oh and the future king of England) demands/requests that the ruling be overturned, what are they going to do...!

Get in there lad!

Im quite irritated, because when Chelsea played Everton in the FA Cup final, it was made clear to me that Prince William was a Chelsea fan. Now various tunnels claim he is Aston Villa, and Wikipedia doesnt get too much wrong .

But great to see William step in here and overturn the decision.

My second point - Fabio Capello has rejected the invitation to attend his sons wedding on Saturday to play Spain in a friendly?

Now, this man striped Terry for having sex with a women... claiming he has traditional values blah blah, then he says he cant go to his sons wedding. I would hate him forever if I was Capello Junior whoever he is. Apparently Capello said he won't fly over to attend after the game or before the game, due to him being focused on a friendly game and will be too tired after.

I think thats just as disgusting as Alcaraz spitting on Stearman quite frankly.

Also @ Si <

I wasnt doubting their support, I have about 15 Geordie friends and 15 local friends who support Newcastle.

The Geordie lads tell me that half the lot in Newcastle believe they will be close to a Champions League spot, whereas the ones down here are thinking about 10th. So thats a 6th place difference, and the lads from here go to the games etc, been fans since they were little so they are proper fans lol.

I just no from my time up north, and my time on my travels, the further north you go the more carried away fans get.

Its said that northern fans, Liverpool, United, City, Newcastle, Leeds etc fans are more passionate, which I dont believe for a second, I dont think they are just more passionate, its the media, lifestyle and everything, loads of little things that lead to fans getting a little carried away.

But its good to see support for any team.

I was just throwing it into the mixer that if Man City can beat Man United away 6-1, Tottenham 5-0 and score as many goals as they have... also bearing in mind City will be fully aware Newcastle have let in less goals than them so will want to batter that record...

City could easily score 4 goals. I'm not being critical of Newcastle becuase they are more solid than Chelsea as a defensive unit, but City have pace, power and strenght in numbers. If Newcastle attack City, they will get punished.

Not at all, most fans up here think we are going through a good spell, we have a tough string of games now and aren't expecting much from it, hardly anyone is getting carried, we think we are going to come from 7-10th, which is reasonable considering the start we have got off to.

About the passion thing, we have got more passion than people from down south, even if you listen you the atmosphere when the games are on tele, you can hear it at the home games. We also bring more fans away from home than others!

I'll never give into the fact that Southerners such as myself are not as passionate. Im as southern as you can possibly get so that would then make me the least passionate which isnt true.

I nearly cried when Mourinho got sacked.

I love Chelsea, and would give up my life for them.

I dont think its passion thats different.

The Mike Ashley thing, I have never really witnessed that down south. Same with Glazer, Rafa Benitez, same with Kean of Blackburn... it tends to be a northen thing where you bay for blood, you make banners, fly planes with banners, have stadium protests... its a bit odd?

Now Mourinho left, I was gutted, but I never would go and protest at the stadium. I would swallow my pride and support my club through a difficult transaction.

I accept Chelsea, for who they buy, who they sell and the decisions they make. Even though John Terry has done a few things badly, I will defend him. He is my captain and as long as he isnt stealing from the club, or sleeping with Romans Mrs, then I will stick by him.

As soon as a player leaves Liverpool, the fans curse the player.

Thats the difference, I Cant really explain it.

Just because fans can shout louder doesnt make them more passionate.

In Chelsea - The board of executives run the club.

In Liverpool/Newcastle etc - The fans run the club.

Power hungry vulchers.

What are your views on moving away from the bridge cue.power?

They were saying chelsea as everyone knows do not have a big fan base, But the chairman buck is it? Was saying they are a little concerned because not many people from the age of 16-24 go to stamford bridge it is mainly 35-50 year old men.
I guess i would not want to pay £40 to watch chelsea its a lot of money..

Chelsea always sound louder at away games than home games in my opinion.

Justice for Exeter though!!!! There ground is called st james's park!

I do love the Bridge, was the first ever stadium I went to so it would be nice to be the stadium forever. But I can understand that if the owners wont sell it to us then its hard to really call it home.

One thing that concerns a lot of Chelsea fans I know is that they are worried when/if Abramovic leaves then we would be financial crippled and I do feel if he were to invest a massive amount of money into buying a stadium then we would always have a stadium and it would be evident that Roman is here for good.

I do think that the owners of the stadium will reconsider the offer, but I would hate Chelea to pay over the odds for it. I heard we offered them 170% of the valuation... and they declined it? So if it becomes clear that we wont be able to buy the Bridge then I guess we will have to go elsewhere.

Its true about the older fans going to the games. I had to research stats for a program so I chose Chelsea (lol) and it was said that the majority of fans who attend the games are upper class citizens. Chelsea also have the highest fan income, meaning Chelsea fans make more dosh. I dont no who figured that out... lol. So I guess Stamford Bridge may be quieter because on average I would say a upper class citizen would be quieter than a middle or lower class person.

I'm not trying to be clever or anything here, just in my experience this is true.

For me however, I cant speak when I leave a game! Shed end all the way baby!

About the Capello/wedding thing:
It does seem odd that he would miss it for a friendly. The son has said that he is completely fine with it and doesn't mind. The son and his soon-to-be wife already have 2 children, so they seem to be viewing it as more of a formalizing the relationship thing than a big wedding.
Also, why would you schedule your wedding on a day that you know your dad has a big game. Internationals don't happen THAT often.

Heard something on Facebook that was quite good..

"City fans haven't had this much to look forward to since they were Chelsea fans"

Brilliant

Tbh city have always have a great support always filled maine road, And eastland and always fill away ends. And are way more passionate than plastic mancs.

I think its man utd fans who are all glory, All come from surrey, Ireland and hampshire,
Most manchesters people are city through and through.

Most people were i live support man ure; But none have ever been to games and class there sky cards as season tickets.

Mate you literally just said what everyone says because theres more United fans in the world than Pool, Arsenal, Chelsea and City... Everyone just hates the fact that United Have been the team of the last 25 years..

I am not denying man utd have been the best team of last 25 year, I just don't like "Glory supporters" Who can only name rooney and call every other team crap.

I just thought your comment at city was over top because they have been though the thick and thin over last 25 year and always have had a good support have man city.
Its just a shame the way they have done it. But the owners are building a youth centre (should google it looks class) which will mean they will not have to buy the best in 10 year they will be producing it.

In my opinion Chelsea are one of the mosted hated teams in england but everyone see's things differently.

Derry, you should know by now that you shouldn't tar everyone with the same brush. I have always praised Torres even to this day I think he made the right move for his career always respected him for what he done. I wanted Benitez to stay hell at the time I wanted Houllier to stay when he went he had a great trophy to years ratio at Liverpool.

I have respect and loyalty for anyone who plays for us, wants to play for us or who is in anyway related to the club, unless they bring a bad name to the club. I know Gerrard has and blah blah you can question his loyalty too but I woulda understood if he left for Chelsea they are a better team and he won't win the league at Liverpool.

Capello is just an idiot.

Englands U21s won 5-0 against Icelands U21s earlier.

Martin Kelly getting a very nice goal in the process. Tackled 2 players covering around 50 yards and a nice finish to boot.

Got high hopes for that lad!

Kenny is saying we may send a youth side to Chelsea in the Carling Cup because we have 2 games in 48 hours, the Sunday and the Tuesday.

Told Liverpool fans to think very carefully before going to the game.

"It is disgraceful in this day and age that players are being asked to play a league game and then a quarter-final just 48 hours later," he said.

"If the Football League want to devalue their own competition it's up to them."

"The one thing I will say to our fans is to think carefully before buying tickets for the League Cup game."

"We do not want them spending their money and then we decide there is no other option but to use only young players in the tie.

"They (the Football League) shouldn't then be upset if people use these games to help in the development of young players."

I dont mean to sound narrow minded or stereotypical Mich, I was just generalising. I no you're a secret Chelsea fan at heart anyway and you still kiss a poster of Torres every night before bed. He is also in a Chelea strip I bet .

With the Chelsea v Liverpool game, I no it snot ideal playing two games in rapid succession, but Chelsea have played 4 games in 9 days, I think Stoke last season had to play 4 games in 9 days as well. These players have the top training and physio facilities and staff available to them and they are getting paid handsomely, I feel that they should be able to manage it. I wouldnt be too pleased if Chelsea said the same thing.

But I dont no everything so there might be a valid reason, injuries fixture schedules etc...

I would rather Chelsea play our youth squad against Lpools, I would get shredded to pieces if Lpools boys turned up and beat us at the Bridge! ha!

Form we are in its possible .

I'm pretty sure Liverpool will stand a decent chance regardless of who they field. Turnball in goal for Chelsea, Bertrend, Romeu, Lukaku, Kalou, McEachran and co aren't that solid at the minute!

Hope its a good game though, usually get a bit of action out of Chelsea v Liverpool.

Would just like to say - The Carling Cup is well worth winning and I want to win it. United + City or Arsenal are still competing so winning it would be even better as we'd be taking it away from those teams!

Chelsea v Liverpool in the quarters

Chelsea v Man City in the semis

Chelsea v United in the final

So its hardly a sub standard competition!

Been a long time since all the top clubs where in at the end, with the exceptions of Cardiff/Blackburn of course

Frank Lampard to captain England against the World and European Champions! Go on Frankie boy

And so its now time for the Qualifiers for the World Cup!! Come on Republic of Ireland!!!!!! Come on the Irish!!! Been many years since they were in the Euros, given the easiest tie of them all surely they cant mess this up, no french hands in the way this time!

Interesting comments today from Kenny Dunglesh today complaining about having a League Game on a Sunday and then a Cup game on a Tuesday... didnt seem to mind when Brighton had a game on Wednesday and then Friday though did ya? Looks like he may put out kids for Tuesday, so he claims, not sure the board after investing alot of cash would be happy with that though. What a pleb.... cue a Liverpool fan backlash

I wouldn't have a problem with it if we weren't playing Man City and Chelsea in those two fixtures. But honestly the players are being paid loads they should be able to manage two games in three days.

100% Agreed.

Just look at what Novak Djokovic has put himself through this year, sums it up.

Sunday Wednesday is fine, we did it all the time when we were winning the champions league, sunday Tuesday is a bit much though, we have a big squad though, I think it is just Kenny being Kenny and making his point clear to the powers that be that they are useless.

As he said, if they want to devalue their own competition then they are free to do so, however don't go fining us for fielding a new starting XI, when we are pretty much being forced into it.

We have some very difficult fixtures coming up, and if I'm honest I'm a bit worried.

We really did need to beat Swansea and Norwich at Anfield.

Off out to watch Estonia V ROI.

Reckon a boring 0-0/1-0 either way is in the offing. Hope so anyway, will be in the money if any of those results come in, even more so if Cox/Walters or Vassijev scores
300£ if he scores in an Estonia 1-0 win
