I've actually been having this problem too, may be coincidence that I've got worse since the update..

i haven't played much recently and been struggling when i have played and then realised changes have been made.

My observations are that potting ball tight to cushion is harder, when potting with pace the ball rarely goes in, pockets tighter - in summary, much harder and v frustrating at the minute!!

linfield this is true i cant pot a thing its a bit like the pool tables and it has took "the snooker" uniqueness away,not the best update for snooker i would say.

I'm still not sure what the change to gameplay is. There have been maximums and cents today. Clearly they're still pottable.

He's made the original pocket bigger, nothing tighter. You've given it one day and blaming a bad days play on the new updates, give it a couple of week before you can blame the updates as you may just be going through a bad patch

Yeah but everyone is jumping on this bandwagon that the pockets have been made tighter. Has Nick ever lied about updates before??

I just said a very good point in the chat room which should be here.

When the ball is rattling in the pocket, it does look like at times it's rattling in the jaws, so on the contrary, at times, it MAY look like the ball is bouncing round in the bottom of the pocket, however it is just simply rattling in the jaws.

This does explain the "bounce outs"

If I may i'm just going to have my say...

Whatever anybody thinks about these all new changes I absolutely hate them.

It has turned a game I loved and looked forward to every day, and I mean, every day, into one I just don't enjoy. Erm, sad to say, at all.

So much so that I'm knocking it on the head for a while. All the best everyone, happy potting, I'm off. What a real shame, hopefully the feel of the table from just a few weeks ago will return, hopefully by popular demand - In fact, that might be a great way to do it!!! Have a vote!

sorry mate and damien to i wasnt clear and im not trying to be a twit in any way i was trying to say it was not rattling it was straight in straight out business mate im not one to moan usually and i be onest with u mate ive had 6 frames tonight and its not happend once but yesterday it was as i said straight back at the pocket no rattling and back out ive been a member here since 2005 im not trying to change it back il get used to it infact i maybe already im just saying what i expierienced then and there

Just a thought about the physics when the ball falls into the pocket. Currently, no matter how slow the ball rolls into the pocket, the ball always rolls from the edge and reaches the back of the pocket before rolling down under the table. I think this makes slow shots look a bit distracting. Perhaps a slow rolling ball should just fall from the edge, without getting a speed burst that makes it bounce from the back of the pocket.

Great change though, just needs getting used to and perhaps a little fine-tuning!

i am still missing pots in the top 2 corners in arcade, ive seem to miss more since the update, im certain they have got tighter, and its putting me off playing it
