There has always been tappers and always will be.

My win % before I was reset is very similar to what it is now. My halfs and cents ratio is a lot worse.

This to me clearly indicates that the ability of opponents have decreased, as well as myself. I mean if I can win the same amount playing worse... before I was reset my win % was around 82% and I was playing ranked all the time (except when I had the 990 rank and didnt play ranked for months ) so I was playing weaker opponents to average out 82% win.

Now after the reset I use to play Adam, Mooney, Jaaaames, Kaison, Dan, Curt who are quality players in lenghtly matches. Probably 1000 games against these players and my win % is 78%.

Im getting confused now but I think I've made a valid point.

We can all say "I wish Ste would come back full time" but I believe after I took a year out I was only half the player I use to be. I tried for a bit, won about 80% of tournaments but never really had any motivation.

Best way to put it -

I remember entering tournys with Ste_efc, Damee, Sean_paul, Quick_pot, Virtuoso107, 2good, Youngjeezy, N_e_r_d, Ragefire, Fastboysam, Nomercy1986, Jay_afc, Reaper69....

Now you compare that to a tournament with M_wood, bomjaza, 777pw, Ace_spades, __hustler__, thewhirlwind, Smart...

It speaks for itself.

Can't comment on the new players, haven't seen much of them. The players i have played tho are a shadow of the players on that list what Cue_power wrote out just above ^. Add Budweiser to that also.

Its confusing because M_wood is referring to centuries and whocares8x8 is all about winning a game at any cost.

My point is, arcade is a fair game where a lot of players are capable of clearing a table...

But this is where true ability comes into play.

You get the guys that instead of taking a safe green to grab a 103, they will make the effort, take the risk essentially to get a 107.

You get the players that will checkside off a cushion, actually notice theres a 3 ball plant to keep position on a black, are able to control the pace of the cue ball better and you just no that they are clearing. Those players are the guys I have mentioned.

The guys you are mentioning -

have less cue ball control
have less vision
guestimate positional shots and cannons

I would also mention that I have played many frames against the so called "new breed" and they always miss. I know they will miss a shot, I can see them going in off on shots, I can tell then they are just about to snooker themselves and in their play a lot more luck is required.

When you play a top player, a proper player, you never expect to get a shot. They dont make the in off mistakes, they dont play it too hard or too soft leaving themselves snookered.

These slight differences are in fact huge. They are the difference.

I also want to point out that I have I & Mr_explosive's head to head which stands at 14 wins for me and 1 win for him. Granted not all frames were Arcade.

I have tussled with __hustler__ on many occasions, we were in the same clan, I believe I have the better of him as well.

I know this is not evidence to prove me right, as I do lead Destiny 15-13 and I'm not better than him... but if a player of my previous and current ability I guess, have better head to head ratios with the players being nominated by others and claim my nominations to be better, I think I stand on very good ground.

On the other end of the spectrum is association with M_woods comments about the old players, I dont believe you witnessed the "old days" so your comments about this pedastal nonsense is completely invalid.

Its quite interesting that because currently very few old players actually play this game anymore due to having "done the lot"... all we see is other peoples accomplishments so its easy to put them on the podiums.

If these players were to return, they honestly would put the "new breed" to shame.

I'm purely basing my opinion on ability.
