Btw, I'm not saying the UK have a big problem because they allow the practicion of other religions.. ha!
Just to me it has a similarity with the topic.

Funny just watching Sky Sports News and they went around Anfield asking if they thought our players were right in wearing Luis Suarez T-shirts.
4 of them said the players were wrong, and one of them said he thought they were right.
Funnily enough, I don't think that represents a true demographic of Liverpool fans opinion.
They must have been the only 4 people they could find in a whole day who thought that. I reckon 1000s would have said they back Luis and the players!
I hate how English media instead of providing us information, try to tell us what to think.
I'm at the stage now where I trust nothing said on the tele or in the papers!
Stop telling the public who to hate, Sky!

Spurs v Chelsea game... not 1 comment? Lol
what a blinding game it was to.
Loads of chances for both teams, I feel Adebeyor should of gone about 3 times (because Rameries would of got a second yellow had he done the same).
A.Cole handball? I'd never give that. He was on the attack, the ball deflects off Parker, hits his arm. From then on had all the work to do. Great balls by Cole and Bale (Bale as always) for the goals.
Poor defending by Ekotto to just allow Sturridge 8 yards? Ha!
Poor keeping by Cech, Especially after Wigans mistake, totting up Pete! Good save for the looping deflection though.
Chelsea penalty incident with the handball, different to Cole, as Walker? was defending in the area and his arms are going all round the gaff, so they are given 40% of the time. Considering it was Chelsea, thats reduced to 9.8%, and being a game like this... wittled down to 0%. Ha!
Ramieres header! Jeez! Harder to miss. Ramieres 1 on 1, had to score poor touch, poor shot. Sturridge rebound (Right peg) should of done better. Drogba hitting the post (what great control on the chest). Romeu's long drive from outside, had the keeper beat but also the post.
Mikel and Ivanovic both out now. Branislav the only one I shall miss really.
All things considered, I honestly thought Chelsea had edged in even with Terry's goal line clearence and disallowed goal. Deffo handball anyway.

I thought it was boring so played fifa at HT
Back on to my Sky rant... they got caught with their pants down and after 1000s of complaints they had to release this:
Thanks to everybody who voted in our Player of the Year poll for the Goals on Sunday Christmas Special.
Liverpool fans will be pleased to hear that Luis Suarez topped the poll at midnight on Thursday night when voting was due to close.
Due to an error the poll remained open until 7.30am and in these hours a surge of votes came in for Manchester United winger Nani, which saw him overtake the Liverpool striker.
But as you'll see when you tune in to Goals on Sunday, we have recognised Suarez as the winner of the poll as he was top at midnight when the vote was due to close.
We'll also make it clear that Nani had overtaken him by the time the poll was taken down.
We'd like to point out that neither Ben Shephard nor Chris Kamara had anything to do with the voting process and they'd like to thank you for your contributions to the discussion.
We hope you are looking forward to the Goals on Sunday Christmas Special when you can see Ben and Kammy discussing the players of the year with Ian Wright and Robbie Keane.
Merry Christmas from everybody on the show.

22:28 Fri 23 Dec 11 (GMT) [Link] It's in the rule book, so they have to follow that. Otherwise, the opposing team could play the game under protest etc... Rule needs changing if they want to not give red cards.
I'm guessing that freedom to practice any religion is present somewhere in UK law. So that would be in accordance with the law.
No, any foreigner in the UK is still bound by the laws of the UK, regardless of whether they've been living there for 1 day or 20 years. Not knowing about rules, doesn't give you the right to break them (as adam explained rather lawerly earlier).
As far as I'm aware, Suarez has admitted to what he said. He says this is not racist in South America. However, since the incident took place in the UK, English rules will be followed. I posted them yesterday and they're fairly clear on this.
Would've been the same in Germany, France... any European league has statutes on ethnic abuse.

1) What I dont understand is that, all these red cards given by Refs... have ALL be revoked by the governing FA's.
So my question to that is.. why are the ref's giving these players red cards?

So basically, there is a really big problem with UK for outsiders of Europe. They can literally do what they want and the consquences are somewhat avoidable.

Yes he has admitted to using the word 'Negro' or "Negrito" it appears.
If he had just lied and said "nah I didn't say anything" it would have been case dismissed, because their was no video evidence found that he racially abused Evra.
By telling the truth, and giving his reasons, he has landed himself an 8 game ban, normally I have no doubt the FA would have given a small ban and a small fine, but while they are trying to play the big on racism card in their tedious agenda against FIFA, he has been given a political sentence.
Of that there is no denying.

There is a law for everything. But there is a law that legally binds British people to not discriminate other nationalites.
The laws are like the holy bible, you can twist it so many different ways... thats why the bible was written by politicians and courrupt people to make other people do things they wanted them to do.
So Liverpool and now the police, as well as some chairmens of the European FA are now stepping in to defend Suarez as basically... they are saying we are discriminating Suarez even more than he is suppose to of done to Evra.
Suarez has called Evra a little black man? Well the way I see it is, he is fairly little, he is a man... and he is also black. So to Suarez he is like... well hang on? What have I done wrong?
Its only because the UK is currently run and has been ran by complete and utter idiots.
There was a case where a white man was sent back to jail, for sneezing on a person. Because he had previous for racism, he was sent back for 8 months. Regardless to whether he did this deliberately or not... it to me is criminal that the person even pressed charges.
In this case, I think Evra had a right to persue his cause but he shouldnt win lol.

Now in football terms - Remember Rooneys deliberate elbow? Where Clattenberg gave a freekick for it... but no action against Rooney who knocked the chap out.
The FA couldnt do Rooney for it because the Ref had "Taken action" by giving a freekick.
So how can they then ignore the exact same ref in a different match WHEN! He took action? He spoke to both the players, and told them he wanted it to stop.
Now nobody mentions this, but if the rules say the FA cant intervine with a refs decision for Rooney... then why can they for Suarez?
I'd rather be called names that get elbowed in the face. I think thats 100x worse that being racially abused.
I dont want to hear the slave trade rubbish, because thats nonsense. Every human is now equal... so its the same for everyone regardless of history. White people use to basically rule the world. I dont go walk around kicked ethnic people due to history.

06:16 Sat 24 Dec 11 (GMT) [Link] By taking action they mean a punishment.
Also, the referee was I think made aware of the racism allegations after the game, which is why he included it in his report. He didn't hear it on the pitch- if he did, Suarez would've been off.

I meant to say "kicking" instead of kicked as well heh.
I mean, my dad is married to a Ghanian women. They have a girl about a year old, its mixed race/ half cast - what can you even say anymore ha!
I love them all to pieces...
But I will admit I have told racist/offensive and discriminative jokes...
Does this make me racist?
I have used racist words against other races, does it really make me a racist?
I dont think it does.
I dont like walk down the street see a black man for instance, and think anything racist? Or feel disgusted lol.
It doesnt affect my mentality at all.
So thats why I think, if Terry has said something abusive to Anton, to offend his skin colour, they cant punish him... becuase he isn't racist. Period.
You cant give someone a 15 year sentence for murder, if he isnt a murderer.
Terry, with all his previous will be smothered again, for something that is actually ridiculos. Its the press. the police, footballers its everyone that dislikes Terry, its a comlpetely unfair trial and they discriminate him for it but they are the "law" ha.
Ironically... Chelsea captain, captain of a majority black players, Essien, Rameries, Cole, Bosingwa, Drogba, Sturridge, Malouda, Kalou, Mikel... as well as previous players, SWP, Makelele, Geremi, Diarra - the list goes on forever...
How can Terry be racist ha!? Except Bridge, there isn't one player past or present that dislikes Terry... but the nation hate him. Bizzare.

Plus who isn't to say that Anton is somewhat got himself into a pickle, complaining about it... then feeling he may need to exaggerate to justify his story.
After all, lets look at the motives -
Terry is England captain, after getting reinstated through the misfortune of Rio Ferdinand, Anton's brother.
Terry's motives -
...?
Can't help but think that the law enforcers have overlooked the whole situation because of Terrys recent past.
My sister works for the London Met, she often does the Chelsea, Fulham and QPR games, so do her friends....
Edit - Actually, I dont think I should say anything <

It's shouldn't be taken as racism in my eyes. It's typical insults that happen on a football pitch. When Materazzi insulted Zidane's mother and then got headbutted Materazzi got banned for 2 games and Zidane got banned for 3 games.
The way I see it the same thing has happened here except what Suarez said isn't as serious I think. When watching the game Evra got violent towards Suarez after what was said so why isn't Evra getting banned at all? And in keeping with the Zidane-Materazzi incident shouldn't Evra get a longer ban for getting violent? If Suarez does still have a ban after the appeal it will only be 2 or 3 games I think and Evra really should get at least a 1 or 2 game ban.

The crux is this. Evra and Suarez were speaking Spanish to each other.
The word Evra used is apparently more offensive than the word Suarez used in Spanish.
Only when it is translated into English does it become a problem. And simply put, that is because here in England, we are very aware of bringing a players colour into a conversation, whereas in South America, this is commonplace, and not seen as racist.
The question then is, just who do the FA think they are to question a continents way of life.
In England we are constantly told we are the best at this, the best at that, however the more reading I do, the more I prefer the South American model, where mentioning colour, either black or white is not a taboo, but racism is redundant.
Also, Alan Hansen on MOTD said the word "coloured" I do not see him being hounded or investigated.
At the end of the day I think Hansen and Suarez didn't mean to cause offence, and weren't aware that they were. While ignorance is no excuse, the way England is, people are not sure what can and cannot be said any more!
A much better way of dealing with the matter would be to educate Suarez, instead they have screwed him over. His loss of earnings for the rest of his life will be huge. I can't imagine him being involved with the likes of Adidas or Wash N go for the rest of his life as a result, and I don't think that will change even if he is found to be not guilty, or has his sentence reduced.

Oh what a shame his sponsorships will go down, he is still on a 6 figure per week salary which is better than pretty much anyone doing a proper job...
And once again the norm in his home country is irrelevant, he chose to come here, he should know what is acceptable.

Forget that, he said a word which isn't racist in his homeland in the language of his homeland. Only when it is roughly translated into English does it become racist, and that is because of our culture.
Secondly tell that to the English that holiday in Spain and behave like morons.
Thirdly, you say that in a court of law it doesn't matter if he is unaware or ignorant to our rules, where does it say in a court of law that loss of earnings doesn't matter because he is already rich?
He is a human, he has rights, being rich doesn't mean he forgoes those rights.

He is playing in the English league, so English is the given common language so it is the English meanings of the words that count.
Secondly they are Spain's problem and as far as I am concerned they can do what they like with them. That is an irrelevent point.
Thirdly, I don't say that. 'Ignorantia juris non excusat' is an actual legal term. And his earnings don't come into it, whether or not you will lose money doesn't affect your sentence. People who get their driving licenses revoked don't say to the Police "Oh but I will lose my job and lose out on income" and the Police change their mind and give them their license back. If you are guilty, you deserve to lose out on income. My point about his income was in response to you ludicrously playing the sympathy card for him losing some money.

My point is that he is not knowingly guilty, and that an 8 game ban, a 40K fine and a reputation for being racist is an unjust punishment for using a word which is in no way offensive within the country he is from, and the language in which he is fluent.
His intentions, his background, his culture, his charity work in South Africa, and common sense should all have been factored into the decision making process.
Instead The FA have tarnished his reputation, and that he will now be wrongly labelled a racist, even if - as I suspect a real court of law clear him of all charges.
Just to end my point, the words 'Negro' Spanish for black, and 'Negrito', the Spanish for small black man, have all been allowed by yourself to be posted on the forum. Would you allow me to post what John Terry allegedly said to Anton Ferdinand?
In my opinion Suarez may have crossed the the anti-racism line somewhat, and deserves a small ban and fine, but John Terry has took a running jump. I look forward to seeing - if found guilty, John Terry being banned for at least double that of Suarez, as his intentions, his background, his culture is here in England, so he does know his comments will cause offence.
