I think the format is fine..it will work out..

Do teams have to have even numbers of players for killer or can you play 3 vs 2, for example?

As long as both clans agree, can be any amount, so 3v3, 4v6, 8v7

I do like the look of this format. But, can someone please explain what reduceing the clan sizes has achieved now? I thought that the aim was to reduce numbers in the hope that new clans would then be formed - this hasnt happened if you ask me so I dont see the point in the smaller clans. Sorry if im missing something here, just doesnt make sense
Well, the Individual's Tourney and the Cup already use the same format but nobody complained about that?
If players can't understand a really simple format, then that would be shocking. Simply put the format at the top of the fixtures like this:
Team A 0 vs 0 Team B
Play 6 frames of your game type; 3 of power.
Mixed: Play 2 frames each of arc, reg, and orig.
Arcade:
arcade_107 vs _wales_lad_
Regular:
moore6c vs i_am_blessed
Original:
d_legend vs dvz
Carom:
ripped_rank vs mich
Power:
battlecat vs mattywellie
Mixed:
player1 vs player2

If things had stayed the way they were, Anger Management wouldn't have made it to the season, Snooker Legends may have struggled for reliability and Snooker Loopy may not have been formed.
There's also players there to form another clan as Max Machines showed (if they had been bothered to make an effort )
Of course only time will tell, but we are 1, maybe 2 clans better off and the clans look much healthier on the whole in terms of playing games and surviving the season so I think it's worked.

Okay cheers for explaining. Yeah, shame Max Machines couldnt keep at it

It has been that radical of a switch, which is a good thing. If we suddenly had 4 more clans, it might be a pretty bumpy season. But if for the next 2 seasons we can get the numbers up to 7 or 8 reliable ones, then that's a change. From there on, we can potentially decrease it to 10 down the road and get to something like 8-10 clans. That's my long-term idea anyway.

Tbh there are enough players to have more clans now it's just teams are too picky on who they choose to be in their team.

Not sure I agree. Clans are picky on pool too and they have almost double the number of clans with fewer available players.

Two things- I think they would be too long. Also, that means that some games are worth more than others and you'd have some players playing in more insignificant games than others. Everyone's effort and contribution should be equal I think.

Just feel with some players i have who like to play carom too, would be nice to see them play carom also, i know there are other players out there who would probably fancy carom in the mixed bit

The format is being done respective to how popular each game type is though - Arcade, Regular, Original are more popular than Power and Carom so they get 10 frames each instead of the 6 for the latter.
There's probably players out their who would like Carom in the mix, but I reckon a lot more who don't want it there

I agree with the clan size limit on here as Snooker has always had a low number of reliable clans who stick around. This new limit has seen two new teams formed and helped one clan which ain't known for reliability actually have active players. That's a great positive there for the league already.
I personally think that the format is fine in regards to how many you play in Arcade, Regular, Original, Power & Carom. I am not actually keen on six frames though just based on the fact that if your in original that can be a hell of a lot of time especially if two players playing and on bad form or don't play it often.
Like the 2v2 idea on killer with two games instead of the one. Would see more games played and i think as a whole the default tally would dramatically drop.
