Was quite impressed with Italy, they gave Spain a good game didnt they, until the goals went in and then Italy looked tired/ But no striker on the pitch till the introduction of Torres who then could of scored 3...you gotta start with Torres or Llorrente. Italy were good, and if they had taken their chances could of won the game.. Balotellis dribble and then him not expecting anybody to come to get him was just mind boggelling...

Poor Ireland Conceding after 3 minutes of the first half and 4 minutes of the second half knocked the stuffing out of them. Robbie Keane should of had a Penalty but Croatia were the better team... Ireland waited 10 years for that game, and went into it with very good form, like 11 clean sheets, unbeaten in 14 in that run ... and then just didnt play football... Trapppitoni said in the Hungary warmup they should of lost that game.. bet he wishes they had coz then they would of been better vs Croatia... Ireland have to get something now from their next game, its only vs the Euro and World Cup Champions

Strong reports The Ox is starting on the left and Welbeck up top on his own supported by Ahsley Young in what looks to be a free role between mid and attack.

Bit of a bold move that if you ask me, not sure whether the pressure will get to The Ox but he is a brilliant young player with bags of ability and I hope he comes up with the goods today. Ashley Young in that position looks like he could be dropping into mid a lot maybe on the right and Milner dropping in the middle when we need the extra bodies in midfield and defence.

1-1 will do me fine. It's what I put in my prediction although I really thought France might do us 2-1. Seems I've overrated France in all honesty. We didn't really get cut open their best chance was from the free kick in 1st half where Hart saved a header from Diarra and as the ball was nodded back across, Diarra missed a sitter.

Referee was a bit odd in the 2nd half with some Free kicks we didn't get, then again he was Italian.....

Go on England! Very good start of the match and actually looked a bit dangerous with Welbeck who had a really good game. France never really carved us open, England quite solid.. then we score and it felt like we got scared and defended really deep, glad the half time whistle went when it did... 2nd half bit like the first half, England started well but then it was France all with their passing, but they were limitied to long range shots really

All in all a good result.. but jeez its so nervy watching England haha! Its like anytime the opposition come forward you fear whats coming!.. And Gerrard should of had a freekick on the edge of the box dammit! Think Wallcott should of come on at least 5 mins earlier to try and run behind the French. Parker was shattered.

And then we get a Ukraine victory over Sweden! They look tougher than first thought.

Think French will beat Ukraine and Sweden putting them on 7... So England have to beat Ukraine.. and probably a draw might do vs Sweden.. draw wouldnt be the worst result on Friday then, although would mean all the pressure on us versus Ukraine...

If you were to pick one team winning the Sweden v Ukraine game it would preferably be Ukraine so a good day as far as England hopes go.

How did Welbeck look dangerous? He didn't have a shot all game! Not one.

We scored from a set play and got in behind them once, the last 20 minutes were infuriating watching us surrender the ball and retreat into our own penalty box. If we had of conceded the knives would have been out for sure!

Overall though we did OK and just about earned the point. These next two games will be a very different task. We need to take the game to them this time around.

The two Liverpool lads were good today, Ribery is still trying to climb out of Johnsons pocket and a peach of a ping from Stevie Laa. Went straight onto Lescotts trunk.

Milner was very poor though, I'd replace him with Walcott for the next game, seeing as we should be looking to win now rather than using the wingers as defensive cover for the full backs.

My Sentiments exactly the ox on te left Walcott on the right as the ox will run at anyone and Walcott can cause any defender a problem with that pace even if the end product ain't there like it should be.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Oxlade-Chamberlain on the bench for next game as a super sub since it's his first experience of tournament football. Could be a very important player against Ukraine as well.

Welbeck looked dangerous and got into dangerous positions.. just because you dont have a shot doesnt mean you arent dangerous. He took on the central defenders and got into attacking areas... I dont recall Darius Vassell doing any of this. Him and Young just at times missed that final clinical bit of play.

I dont see 'England should go for it now' though. We need to be organised and disciplined. Milner did a good job, he had the chance to score, he put in some great balls into the box... almost did a terrible backpass. Think Ox will start again, why would Roy change the team, I dont see it.

Oh and for the first time in 16 years, the England band were not allowed to play! The instruments were convisgated at the start! Boooooooo!!!

So back to Group A now! Russia can progress today, Czechs can be eliminated... then its all about Group B tomorrow Denmark AND Germany COULD knock out Portugal and The Netherlands... big pressure!

I don't quite understand why the team needs changing either. Just use possible changes as strong subs if we need them. As Curbishely said, I think keeping posession will be important in beating Sweden and Ukraine. As soon as you start giving them a lot of the ball in your final third you're asking for trouble. It was hard watching whenever we were pegged back to our final third. The point against France was a very good result for us and we should just take positivity to the next game.

I thought Milner was horrible. Be very surprised if he started (actually maybe not with Roy) again.

Got to go for the win here because Ukraine are no mugs, and beating the host nation is never easy. Sweden seem the weak links.

I wasn't too impressed by Milner either but I think he should still start. Can always be subbed if he isn't up to scratch.
