Nice win for the Czechs today, looks like Greece are doomed... and a great result for Poland against Russia, good couple of days for the host nations with Shevchenkooooooooooo scoring last night and the Poland Captain scoring tonight

Russia only need a draw vs Greece to qualfiy.... Poland have to beat the Czechs.. though Greece could beat Russia by 3 clear goals and Poland beat Czechs and it would be the Greeks and Poles going through! So all 4 could go through but from here i expect Russia and the Czecks to go through in that order.

I think it's not done by goal difference, but by head-to-head record between tied teams.

If two or more teams are equal on points on completion of the group matches, the following criteria are applied, in the order given; to determine the rankings:

a) higher number of points obtained in the matches among the teams in question;

b) superior goal difference in the matches among the teams in question (if more than two teams finish equal on points);

c) higher number of goals scored in the matches among the teams in question (if more than two teams finish equal on points);

d) superior goal difference in all the group matches;

e) higher number of goals scored in all the group matches;

f) position in the UEFA national team coefficient ranking system;

g) fair play conduct of the teams (final tournament);

h) drawing of lots

it's done like this

Harold Harold Harold! Well well well! Your beloved Holland were beaten by the Denmark team... even with Holland having many chances... what do you think will happen today versus Germany!

Looking forward to both games corrrrr Portugal and Holland have got to go for wins in both. Defeats for either could see them eliminated pretty much! Im not convinced by Portugal..... pressure on Ronaldo to bring his Real Madrid form into Portugal shirt.

Hi mate,
expect 70% ball possession for the dutch...creating just a few chances, not able to cope with fast break-outs from the germans.
0-2 down and out for the "clowns".

Blimey how accurate was you Harold! 2-0 down! You were right at the start of the tournament, that Dutch defence is weak, the Dutch are all about their offensive players really and going forward... Nice turn by Gomez for the first goal... the 2nd goal well, it was a good shot by Gomez but the keeper was at fault, much like he was at fault for the Denmark goal. He was down on his back before Gomez even moved his foot back, terrible keeping

Good win for the Portugal too... Group B is very much alive but I am rather confused with this 'level on points' thing...

If Germany beat Denmark, and Holland beat Portugal and those 3 teams will be on 3 points.. then its decided by goal difference in those games... sounds bit complicated.. so do they cancel the German defeats out?? Sounds stupid to me.

I feel sorry for Ireland. Must be tough when your best player is your keeper. They've done well to hang on so far though, even if they don't look like scoring at all.

Yeah, only 1-0 down at half time isn't that bad really. It just takes one fluke chance to bring it level. Still got to last out 45 minutes though so I can't see much for them.

He's been at fault for at least 3 of the 5 goals they have let in overall. Probably 4 tbh.

Past it.

Glad they are out.

Unlucky Ireland! Trapittoni must be tearing his hair out conceding girls yet again within 5 minutes of the kick off in both halves, and poor Shay Given... between him and his opposite number Casillas they have over 250 International Caps between them.

Was always going to be tough for Ireland with the World and Euro Champions, the Auzurrri and the Croats who I believe have been in the Top 10 rankings since Bilic was in charge.

Still, first tournament Ireland have been in for 10 years so they should now just enjoy the Italian game, hope the fans do to, even though they deserve to watch better. Can Ireland knock Italy out? A draw would knock the Italians out in the final game!

COME ON ENGLAND!!!!!!

Rumours are that Roy will play 2 up front for the game slotting Andy Carroll up there with Welbeck and playing Young on the left. Sweden have conceded goals from headers 7 of the last 8 times I think... England havent beat Sweden in a competitive game for a number of years though so history points to a draw.... Sweden have to get a result though with them playing France in the final game... so Sweden have to either beat England or beat France....but they wont will they coz England will do them!!!!

Just hope England can do well here, and build from the point against France... cant see it being an entertaining game with flowing football, it is England afteral... but come on the boys, lets beat those namby pamy Swedes!!!

COME ON ENGLAND!!!!!

As long as we don't play the same edgy defensive game that we played against France. Sure it worked but we don't need to do that against Sweden, we need to win. Should be a fast paced game in my opinion and hopefully that will lands us with plenty of chances. Bringing Carroll on and moving Young back to the left is a good move and should also provide chances. At first I was thinking a draw but both teams need a win and I can't see either team settling for a point, sure both will be going for it... Or Sweden will and England will catch them on the break. Either way we can't get anything less than a win, relying on beating Ukraine wouldn't be a good situation to be in. The day is going to drag, 7:45 kick off...
