Rooney to score the own-goal that knocks England out? Either that or the 3-0 spanking I predicted yesterday.

I have a bad feeling about the England game now the country is getting confident in the team... Would be classic England too completely mess things up. Hope I'm wrong.

I'm less confident about our chances with Rooney's return..
I read somewhere that since Rooney's England debut, we've won more games without him than we have with him.

I think we rely on him too much when he's playing for us. The rest of the team get a little lazier hoping that Rooney will score all the goals for them.

Ukraine will be very tough. They held France out for a good chunk of their game, and they walked all over Sweden.
It's a big game tonight.. Whoever loses goes out (I think?).
I just hope we go for it right from the start.
Young, Rooney & Welbeck all upfront should give their defence a rough time.

Well this team tonight will be the team we would of started with for the Euros... the Man Utd trio playing their Man Utd positions which is very good news, they all know eachother and how to play with one another so lets hope they can bring this to the furore tonight... who will be on the right? Milner again with Walcott sub later on?

Also, Zlatan, you are crap.... prove me wrong

According to Sky Sports News they say that Walcott is replacing Milner on the right but that's Sky, often far from correct. Not sure whether it was just a speculation based line up they showed or whether their sources have reported Walcott to be starting on the right.

Well Walcott is fit but he has had a small occurance of a hamstring problem so I dont think Roy will risk him unless he has to ... we shall see.. he will only play Walcott if he is 100%

Come on England!!!! Come on Sweden!!!

I think he should be left out of the starting line up and brought on if need be. I'm with you, can't risk him injuring his hamstring now, he's had a great game against Sweden. Save him for the quarters if we get there.

Danny Welbeck starts alongside Wayne Rooney in attack, with Theo Walcott and Andy Carroll on the bench.

If we manage to nullify the threat of Yarmolenko we should win this easily. Stop the supply to Sheva and we stop Ukraine. Probably why Milner has somehow managed to rob a spot in the starting 11 again.

Sheva is on the bench. Must have a knock.

yeah nice win for us but shame for Ukraine as they had a lot of time wasting towards the end so couldn't score.

id have been pretty annoyed if the 5th official did give that goal considering the boot upfield was collected by a player that was in an offside position!

Yeah, there was an offside, so in the end it's ok. But it's worrying that the 5th official can't make that decision. I've always defended them, but this was not great for my argument lol.

My guess is they'll bring it in for the next big tournament. Hawkeye is coming.

get in there England!!!

Ukraine played great all game and a draw would not of flattered them, not the walkover we thought when we were drawn against them originally! England just never arrived in the game, never really got going. Ashley Young isnt having the best of tournaments on the left and Milner is fading on the right.. Scott Parker an absolute Robot in that midfield and Stevie G spreading some lovely passes, involved in the goal again! And yep the Ukrainey player was offside for their non goal.. Ukraine first half dominated really. I noticed that the wide men of theirs stayed wide all the time so there was always space as England were more compact. Still ts all about results and the result was England 1-0 Ukraine!

And get in there Sweden!!! Zlatan you proved me wrong ya gret big lump of crap! Sweden beating the French 2-0 wooohooo!!! Never mind.. enjoy your Spain game on Saturday Frenchies!

England. Italy. Sunday. 745pm... oh boy!!

Can't see us beating Italy if we play like we did tonight. Thought we were quite poor at times. We had some good spells but we were dropping possession as if we didn't want it.

Topped the group, very good. Anything from now is an achievement. 1 win from the final 4.

Gerrard was great today too. Been our best player thus far IMO.

Yep, been very impressed with Gerrard. He looks as if he is playing with pride for his country, as do a lot of the other players. That's something we didn't seem to see with Capello. Hopefully they do us proud against Italy, win or lose I at least want to see a close game.
