If we can have a sensible discussion for one minute...

Santon looked like he could become one of the great full backs a few years ago, tipped for great things.

The past few seasons with Inter though he had a bit of a nightmare to be brutally honest. Hardly ever played in the end then ended up being loaned out to a smaller Italian club whos name escapes me! Then sold to Toon for £5M

He can still become a world class full back, he needs to get himself fully fit, then he needs to settle into the premier league, then he needs to become consistent.

I like Davide Santon though, good player on his day, might not cut it in the premier league though, that's my worry for him. Defending is not his strong point, more of a wing back, and a right wing back at that.

Fantastic News from the City Ground

Nottingham Forest have appointed Forest Legend Frank Clark as their new Chairman, with his first duty to appoint a new manager. Fantastic news for The Reds to bring in Frank Clark whom has been the Vice Chairman of the LMA for the past 10 years.

Euro 2012 Playoff Draw

Estonia Vs Republic of Ireland
Turkey Vs Croatia
Portugal Vs Bosnia
Montenegro Vs Czech Reoublic

Surely Republic of Ireland will overcome the Estonians. Could Cristiano Ronaldo the second best player in the World Miss out on Euro 2012...Czechs should easily progress, Turkey and Croatia is finely balanced but Croatia should come through it I think!

Games take place in 1 month!

______________ Shay Given ________________

O' Shea____St. Ledger___ Richard Dunne!!____Ward

Coleman___________Whelan___________Duff

_________________McCarthy_______________

__________Doyle___________Long___________

Our strongest 11 talent wise i reckon.

NO WAY!

Worst end product from a player iv ever seen in professional football... Gets by a player with ease and then runs out of ideas before he even gets one.. most frustrating player i think i have and will ever see in an Ireland jersey.

Seamus Coleman has proved hes capable, gets passed someone and puts in a great cross or a dangerous shot, much better than McGeady!

And Yeah would love to have those back, but now unfortunately dont have players that are as good as they were.

But the future is bright! Semi finals of the Euros, couple of Absolutely Quality players coming through.. Jeff Hendrick, Robby Brady, Jay Wixted. Cant believe i know such players :P

So Steve Cotterrilll looks set to become the new Forest Manager after both clubs agreed compensation......

Not excited by this at all. In fact when hearing this news, my face expression was one of just smelling gone off milk! Hes never really done anything in Management, yes he won the League Championship with Notts County however he only joined them in February and a donkey could of led them to the championship from February to May. And at Pompey they are only a couple of positions above us so..... will be interesting to see how he does there if he signs which looks very likely... but hes a young manager, hes got the experience now and motivation so maybe it will be a good fit!

COME ON YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU REDS

Wayne Rooney banned for 3 games by Uefa. Ridiculous.

Arshavin kicked an opponent in 2006 and he was banned for 2 games. Debate on whether or not to take Rooney, i think its obvious, hes Englands best player by a mile, you have to take him so when England go through to the Quarter Final he will be back. So with 2 Friendlies coming up, id be tempted to leave Rooney out of the England squad altogether for the fixtures against Spain and Sweden, so we can see all potential striker options for the Group stages. But this will ultimatly mean a change in formation to a 4-4-2 as nobody can fill in the Rooney role... 2 from Bent, Sturrige and Welbeck get my vote for a tryout

Come on England

Ohhhh boohoo. It's not ridiculous- it would be a 3-game ban in any other league as well.
Zidane got a red card in the second game of World Cup 98 (in France!!!) and was suspended for 3 games (was a stamp if I remember correctly). Rooney kicked the crap out of the guy and is rightly banned for 3 games.
As I said before, I really don't think this is bad for England. Should still get out of the group and then have Rooney back.

I thought a straight red card as automatically a 3 game ban anyway?

Wayne is ruining his England career.

Yet another international tournament failure. Seriously, what a gimp.

Although perhaps his Dad had a tenner on him being sent off?

Haha! Secretly Wayne Rooney is running a scandle.

8/1 to get sent off.

Now and then he lumps on it and its bought him a few nice houses in St Tropez, Madrid, Vienna, Venice, Miami... and another 30 for all the times he has been red carded.

I think Portugal will have to scrap good and hard to beat that Bosnia side.

Yeah there is loads of money to be made by pretending to be thick.

Look at TOWIE, George Bush, Boris Johnson and Joe Swash! Rooney might just be really good at pretending.

He wrestled to try and get the ball off him, then took a swing and hit him with his foot.
I would not say he kicked the crap out of him at all, If he kicked, then carried on kicking him in the face while blood was pouring out of his face then he has kicked the crap out of him..
You must be Italian!

I agree with master on that ^^

Also m_wood

Good Luck with Steve gottabail, he's a disgrace and has no loyalty for anything he only cares about himself

He is bottom of the barrel when it comes to managers each and every Stokie dispises that pathetic excuse of a person, Tevez got more loyalty than him

I'm just greatful he went and missed the money he could of being earning now, No forest fan should be happy with that

And as you rightly said 'my face expression was one of just smelling gone off milk'

The ball was gone and Rooney decided that he would kick him in the leg. That's the same for me as punching him in the chest.
The referee puts it down as 'violent conduct', which is a red card offense and is usually followed by a minimum 3-game suspension in most leagues (UEFA have a weird review system for some reason). Standard really.
