Oh you know what im on about. We all tap when its totally necessary, i mean the " tappers" are the people who just want to make u annoyed and have no interest in playin the game properly.

I really don't like complaining again but this taping on a red when theres no pot available for a colour is ridiculous. It's the 1 thing on this site that REALY grinds my gears. I'ts embarrassing. Only way to describe it. I feel like an old woman having a moan here lol but its really getting to me. I think its ruining the site for the majority. I know some players might just say don't come on the site then but why should the people who want to play honestly adjust what they are doing.

Maybe there could be a thread made for reporting the ones doing this and then someone could look at the names appearing and if they are there allot and have been reported by different users there could be some sort of punishment give ie. a ban from tournaments for a period of time or even a site ban. It says in the help section that cheaters on the site will be punished and surely this must be considered as cheating.

Would you care to enlighten us as to what rule is being broken that warrants a ban?

For a start, you see professional snooker players rolling into the pack.... should they be banned??

If there is no colour on then why would they leave you in a position to potentially clear? I fail to see any logic in your whole post bar you dont like people doing it

It's not cheating though... A points punishment is what the penalty is, if you are judged to have 'intentionally fouled' I'm not sure being kicked off the sight is the right answer!! And where do you draw the line between 'intentional' and 'laggy' and 'jumpy mouse'. Just my 2 cents. If people want to play like that it's their perogative.

I'm not sure mike0889 has explained the issue clearly, does he mean tapping onto a red when you're shot should be a colour?

If so I agree with him, but it he's upset by ppl tapping into a red as a safety shot when red is the ball to play then, even if you don't like it - it's a legal shot, within snooker rules.

I'm not talking about tapping on a red to play safe when on a red. Theres nothing wrong with that if thats the way you wish to play. I'm talking about rolling tight on the red when the player is on colour and they cant see a pot. The same goes for rolling out of snookers. Because the miss rule cant be implemented something else should be done to stop this.

It drives me crazy! and happens allot especially in tournament play. Why should the honest players have to deal with this. Even in match play when this happens to me and their is an opportunity to return the favour i still wouldn't do it. The main culprits are usually players with decent stats and surely those are the ones who don't need to do it to win

Or else that is the reason why they have decent stats in the first place.

I agree though there is no place for that sort of behaviour but I dont think I have every come across it except once and that was in arcade which I have no interest in anyway and never really play bar the odd tournament.

I have come across it many times, including someone in my own clan. This person got a stern word from me let me tell you.

Doing this is illegal. And intenionally cheating is totally unacceptable. Like Seb said on last page, its a character issue, I wouldnt do it cause im an ok person. You'll find that the younger the player the more chance of them doing this.

Well the majority discipline on the site is arcade so the majority of players are susceptible to this behaviour. It happens to me allot and enrages me a little bit more each time it happens. I just think something needs to be done, even if it means a player has to be made an example of.

Your right. It is a reflection on someones character. Desperate to win by any means. It's sneaky and yellow.

Once again don't want to be a serial moaner but it just drives me crazy! especially when it results in you making a mistake from it and the opponent goes on to make a match wining break costing you ranking points/ tourny wins. I don't mind loosing and will congratulate the winner as long as they won fairly.

I wouldn't do point blank even if the players has done or is doing it to me.

Unfortunately this very thing is what makes us human. We will not change.

They know they are doing it, it actually makes me go " eugh" very audibly coz thats what it is. Horrible. Can u imagine the professionals doing this? Oh wait they dont, coz its an illegal shot

simple solution for me, can't do anything about it in game, so write in the rules something like:

"making no attempt to play a shot out of a snooker is cheating in real life and not tolerated on this site. by employing this tactic you waive your right to protection from naming and shaming. By clicking play you agree that you accept these rules."

Then when someone does it everyone can rip them to shreds on the forum and by pm. It wouldn't be against any rules to do this as they have accepted this treatment by playing the shot . It would also be fun for us players who don't feel the need to use these tactics
